Out-of-Town Members — former members who now live at least one hundred kilometers (100km) from the club and who wish to stay connected to the club.

Visiting/Guest Rowers — rowers who are not members who wish to use the club facilities for a limited period. Must attend at a scheduled practice time and be overseen by a coach unless the coach provides permission to the rower to row at other times.

fEES AND aPPROVAL pROCESSES

Out-of-Town Members are allowed to row at the club a maximum of three times per year using club equipment that must be assigned to them by the Head Coach. Members who have private equipment stored at the club and who have paid their annual storage fee may keep their spot allocation for one year as per the Boat Storage Policy. Fees for out-of-town members are set at $160 for the season.

Visiting & Guest Rowers must contact us by email [communications@hanlanboatclub.ca] requesting permission to row at Hanlan Boat Club during their visit to Toronto. The program coach will then make arrangements with the visiting rower.

The Fees for Visiting/Guest rowers shall be as follows:

  • RCA members will pay $30 per row, up to $150 maximum (HST will be added). After such time, the “visitor” will then be expected to pay membership fees.

  • Non RCA members will be required to pay an additional $60 registration fee (+HST, for RCA; ROWONTARIO membership) in order to be covered by RCA insurance.

All Visiting Rowers will be expected to pay upfront and should be aware that rowing is a weather dependent sport; there will be no refunds. Guests and visitors must also sign a waiver.
