A month's worth of rain on Monday evening, July 8, did not deter Hanlan members from getting in a scheduled evening row. Here two of our members navigate Unwin Avenue which lies about 200 metres north of Hanlan and Lake Ontario in the "tubbies". Toronto received close to 100 millimetres of rain in two hours causing widespread flooding of the already saturated ground. This is truly historic!
The photo was taken by Scott Brown from the Toronto Multihull Cruising Club. This neighbouring club rents the water lot to the east of Hanlan and often has to remind Hanlan boats not to row through the boats moored in its water lot. This time Scott told our president that it was okay if Hanlan used Lake Ontario.
