National Team in Medals at Lucerne

Canada's National Team won four medals at the World Cup III held over the weekend of July 12 on the famed Lucerne, Switzerland course.  The regatta completes the team's fairly lengthy stay in Europe.  They will now return to Canada to prepare for the World Championships to be held around August 24 in Amsterdam.

Gold was won by Canada's Women's Eight coxed by the legendary Leslie Willie-Thompson.  Despite her long and illustrious career in the cox seat this was Willie-Thompson's first ever win on the Lucerne course.

A silver medal was won by the Women's Quad of Emily Cameron, Kate Goodfellow, Carling Zermant, and Antje Von Seydlitz-Kurzbach.

Canada also won two bronze in the Lightweight Women's Double and the Men's Four.
