There was a good turnout of Hanlan members and University of Toronto rowers on Saturday November 15 for the year-end cleanup and closing. All the docks are out and rowing on the water is over for the season, just in time for the first winter snowfall. Every boat on the outside racks was de-rigged and moved inside the boathouses. A lot of time was spent cleaning up the grounds and boathouses (one year maybe everyone will remember that there are garbage and recycling bins available). A big thank you to everyone who turned out to lend a hand.
Although the season for on-water rowing is over, club activity doesn't stop. Several groups have rented an indoor rowing tank for weekly sessions. The year-end party is on November 20 and the annual meeting takes place on December 2. Plan to be there. All contact information on the website is still operational as planning is underway for the 2015 season.
Best wishes for the winter. See you on the water next spring.
