2012 Canadian Masters Nationals

Some great results were achieved by the ten Masters from Hanlan who headed to Montreal for the Canadian Masters Nationals held at the Olympic Basin on August 24 to 26.  Hanlan was one of 44 clubs from Canada and the USA represented in a regatta that drew 308 athletes in all.

Bonita Tenn and Kelly Brigley are the national champions in the B age group, Womens Lightweight Double.  They also competed in the Womens B (open weight) Double, finishing first in their heat and fourth in the final.  In the Womens B Single, Kelly was second in the final.  Great rowing ladies!!!!

Dean Sela, a new Hanlan member, also won gold in the Mens Lightweight A Single.  Congratulations and welcome to Hanlan.

Barb Prevedello and Diane Mara were second in the Womens E Double.  They also paired up with Craig Thompson and Andrew Stewart in the Mixed E-I Quad, finishing third.  Craig and Andrew advanced to the final of the Mens D Double by placing third in their heat.  In the final they were sixth.

Other results included Angela Desand who was fourth in the Womens Lightweight single. Richard MacFarlane was fourth in the Mens C single heat; fourth in the Mens E Single and subsequently second in the B final.
